Vendlet’s Privacy Policy

At Vendlet, we want to create openness about the data that we process about you. In our Privacy Policy you can therefore read more about how we process and protect personal data, and what rights you have in this regard. Below, you will therefore find a description of the kinds of personal data Vendlet collects, why we collect it and what we use it for.

What is personal data?

Personal data are all types of information that can identify you as an individual. This, among other things, includes your name, e-mail address, phone number, address and picture.

Basis for Processing of Personal Data

We process (use) your personal data whenever it is necessary for us in order to fulfil an agreement with you. This can be when you place an order or get in contact with us through our website or e-mail system. This is our primary basis for data processing. 

However, we also process your data on the basis of consent. This includes sending you our newsletter and the collection of cookies when you use our website, i.e. for marketing purposes.

However, Vendlet never collects any information about you, without your permission to do so.

How long do we keep your data?

At Vendlet, we always strive not to keep your personal data longer than necessary.

The retention period depends on the type of personal data, legislative circumstances and a desire to be able to provide you with the best possible service.

For example, if you have an active customer relationship with us, we will store your information as long as necessary in order to provide you with the requested services. Any information regarding accounting we are obliged by Danish law to store for 5 years.

Likewise, if you have signed up for our newsletter, we will store your data until you unsubscribe.

Where is your personal data being stored?

The data that we store about you is stored on protected servers in Denmark. Some personal information is administered by third parties that store and process the data on behalf of Vendlet. They do so in accordance with this privacy policy and current legislation about personal data. When we make use of third parties, we always make sure to have data processing agreements with them in order to secure your data.

Transmission of personal data

Whether we share your personal data with others, depends on the purpose for which we have collected it.

Under some circumstances, we share your personal data with public authorities or business partners, if we are required to do so by law. We never share your personal data without authorization, and we never sell your information to other organizations or businesses.

Vendlet has entered into data processing agreements with all external services that we use for the processing of your data. In some cases, we use data processors that are placed outside the EU. In this case, we always make sure that the processing of data is subject to data protection for example through the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework or similar agreements.

Processing Security

At Vendlet we are dedicated to making sure, that our processing of your personal data, takes place in a responsible and secure way.

We take safety breaches very seriously. Therefore, we have undergone several safety measures that help us secure your data. Our website is continuously scanned for security breaches and weaknesses so that we can act promptly if a data leakage should occur.

Further, your personal data is stored on secure servers and in secure networks, that can only be accessed by a limited group of employees depending on the type of data. Our employees are furthermore subject to Vendlet’s internal data policy, which secures your rights and compliance with current legislation.

Procedure for Security Breaches

Should we experience a security breach, or do we suspect a threat, we will report this to the rightful authorities. Depending on the scale and reach of the security breach, the people whose data has been compromised will also be notified.

Purpose of the processing of personal data

We process your data for the following reasons:

To fulfil sales-related obligations: This includes delivery, service checks, invoicing, accounting and bookkeeping.

Customer services: This includes answering requests and queries and administration in general.

Administration: This includes general administration, for example in regard to recruiting and hiring processes.

Online marketing: This includes sending out our newsletter, placing cookies in your browser, and online marketing through third parties.

www.vendlet.com uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed in your browser, which make it possible for our website to recognize you. Cookies save information that you have provided us, such as which pages you have visited and how long you have spent on our website in general. However, there are also some cookies that are solely there to make our website function properly.

Newsletter

We do not currently provide an English newsletter. If you are subscribed to one of our other newsletters, please see the concerned website for more information.

Customer service

If you contact us through the contact form on our website, we collect information about you. This includes your name, email address, phone number and message.

We collect these data solely to be able to respond to your request. We never use this information for other purposes than those you ask of us.

The message you send through our website is forwarded to our internal sales department, who directs it to whom it may concern. 

Our system automatically stores a backup of this information for security reasons. The information remains there until you want to revoke them. We do not access these data or use them for any other purpose than to answer your request.

Fulfilment of sales-related obligations

Vendlet.com does not currently provide online sales. However, if you make an order through our Danish website, please find the concerned website for more information about data processing.

Your rights

According to the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have a series of rights in regard to the data that we process about you.

Right of access: You have the right to know what information we process about you.

Right to rectification: You have the right to rectify the information that we process about you.

Right to erasure: You have the right to have your personal data deleted from our system.

Right to restriction: You have the right to choose the purposes for which we process data about you.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data we have about you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit those data to another controller (i.e. company or organization).

Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. This will not affect how we have processed your data until this point.

Right to object: You have the right to complain about our handling of your personal data.
